Esco Malaysia Conducts Training Session
on BSC Key Components

Esco Malaysia conducted a training session entitled “Understanding the Key Components of Biosafety Cabinets” held at the Esco Malaysia Headquarter Showroom last March 24, 2022. The half-day training session was attended by various private companies.

The training aimed to showcase and demonstrate the following topics:

• Basic principles and operations of biosafety cabinets
• Features and key components of a class II biosafety cabinet
• Routine and preventive maintenance
• Spillage cleaning tutorial
• Solution to treat corroded worktops
• Cleaning of UV lamp

Esco Malaysia staff gathered insights from the participants regarding the outcomes of a mishandled biosafety cabinet. The attendees were interactive as they learned more about the proper handling of the equipment. E-certificates were provided to the participants after the training.
