Successful Installation of Esco COVID-19 Solutions at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (BGD)

The government of Bangladesh permitted six well-known facilities: Stemz Healthcare (BD) Limited, CSBF Health Centre, AMZ Hospital Limited, Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital, Gulshan Clinic Limited, and DMFR Molecular Lab and Diagnostic, to each set up an RT-PCR Laboratory for COVID-19 testing of outbound passengers at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka. With Esco Lifesciences’ reputation in providing high-quality lab equipment and reliable service support, all six facilities chose Esco Lifesciences to provide them with a complete line of COVID-19 solutions.

On 26 September 2021, a total of 16 equipment were delivered and installed. They were 9 Airstream® Biological Safety Cabinets, 2 HP Series Laboratory Freezers, 4 Airstream® PCR Cabinets, 1 Airstream® Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinet, and 2 Versati™ Microcentrifuges. Upon completing the installation, the facilities’ staff attended an end-user training along with a Biosafety Awareness seminar by Esco Biosafety Institute.

This year, the airport has extended and relocated its RT-PCR Lab. On 12 January 2022, additional 4 units of Airstream® Biological Safety Cabinets and 2 units of Airstream® PCR Cabinets have been delivered and installed for the extension.
