Esco Myanmar Successfully Installs an Isoclean® Healthcare Platform Isolator at Myint Myat Phyu Sin Specialist Clinic

In Nov. 2021, Esco Myanmar installed an Isoclean® Healthcare Platform Isolator (HPI) unit at the Chemotherapy Daycare Center of Myint Myat Phyu Sin Specialist Clinic, Mandalar Hospital.

The HPI unit is categorized as a Compounding Aseptic Containment Isolator (CACI) as per USP <800> guidelines.

“The HPI unit is smart and safe”, cited a medical officer, two months after the unit’s installation date. By profession, the compounding personnel is exposed to chemotherapy products daily. The HPI guarantees the safety of both the personnel and the products. While the unit is considered relatively expensive, the medical officer finds value and recommends the use of it.

The Isoclean® Healthcare Platform Isolator (HPI-G3) facilitates the isolation of a product or process while providing the required sterile environment. Since the unit is for chemotherapy drugs handling, it is configured to operate at a negative pressure in a recirculating airflow. To ensure leak tightness, the unit is certified as a Class 2 containment enclosure in accordance with ISO 10648-2. It supplies HEPA-filtered, unidirectional airflow that creates an ISO Class 5 environment inside the work zone, providing a sterile/aseptic environment.
